HP Omen 16 Laptops have problems with games using RE Engine (Monster Hunter Rise, Devil May Cry 5, Street Fighter 6 etc.) where the computer just crashes entirely and reboots. There are no problems with temperatures or anything. Using the drivers provided by HP works, but they are so old that they have issues with newer games. This issue occurs when using the updated drivers from AMD website itself.

After some testing, I noticed it might be a issue about power management. If I unplug the charger then try playing the game, it works completely fine (although with poor performance obviously). I further tested that by trying to manually limit STAPM power by using Universal x86 Tuning Utility and it actually prevented the laptop from crashing, but this time the game was crashing. I tried slowly increasing the limit and observing, sadly there was no sweet spot. Its only 1 watt away from the game crash turning into a system crash.

I have already tried the usual stuff like formatting, changing Windows versions, reinstalling game and drivers, also trying different versions of drivers etc.

HP needs to update their drivers, they are still from 2023...

Another thing I noticed is HP removed 2024 drivers and 2023 drivers instantly crash the game (not the laptop), so it is impossible for me to play even if I want to now.
