Hi @Gabriel112007,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I'm sorry you're running into this issue, especially with a new laptop. It must be frustrating not being able to launch Roblox right away.
To help understand what might be happening:
- Are you downloading Roblox from the official website or the Microsoft Store?
- Have you experienced any issues with other apps suspending, or is this specific to Roblox?
- Have you tried restarting your laptop since the installation?
Here are some steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Compatibility Mode Settings:
- Right-click on the Roblox shortcut or executable file, go to Properties > Compatibility.
- Check Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows 10 or Windows 8. Then, try running Roblox again.
Run Roblox as Administrator:
- Right-click on the Roblox shortcut or executable, and select Run as administrator. This can sometimes resolve issues with permissions and suspended processes.
Update Windows and Graphics Drivers:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and ensure your laptop is fully updated.
- Also, check for driver updates, especially for your graphics driver, in Device Manager under Display adapters.
Disable Apps from Background Suspension:
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Roblox, and select Advanced options.
- Under Background app permissions, set it to Always. This allows Roblox to run without being automatically suspended.
Reinstall Roblox:
- Uninstall Roblox completely by going to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Roblox, and uninstall.
- Restart your laptop, then download Roblox from the official website or Microsoft Store, and reinstall it.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
