A strange situation has arisen on my computer: for some reason the RTX 4070 video card has a limit of 8 GB of video memory, which is clearly not enough (even if I use it as the main one), although its actual volume should be much larger. The most interesting thing is that the integrated Radeon 780M graphics (if you only enable it as the main one) does not have this problem - it uses as much memory as it has in full. It seems that the limitation is related to software. I would be grateful for help in solving this problem. (Screenshots are attached.)
The computer is called: OMEN Gaming Laptop 17-db0xxx

It specs
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
- Architecture: Ada Lovelace
- CUDA Cores: 5,**bleep**
- Tensor Cores: 184
- RT Cores: 46
- Memory: 12GB GDDR6X
- Memory Bus: 192-bit
- Boost Clock: 2475 MHz
- Memory Speed: 21 Gbps
- TDP: 200W
- Display Outputs: 1x HDMI 2.1a, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a
- Recommended Resolutions: 1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x216
As you can see its PHYSICAL memory is 12GB max. In your case you only have 8GB (full stop). And system allows you to use 7.1 GB to 14GB more WHEN required that means you MAY get up to 15GB to 21GB.
How much more you think it can get ?
Regards.

Hello! Thanks for the info! But can you remove the limitation? Or release a BIOS update so I can remove it myself please. (I would be very grateful!)
And thanks for replying to my message!
And to answer your question: how much more do you think it can run?
With the RTX 4070 disabled, the AMD with the integrated 780M graphics card had more VRAM than the 4070. AMD had at max almost 18GB of VRAM in the game.
With only 4070 enabled, the maximum memory at 1080p in Resident Evil 2-4 was 7-8GB, never exceeding that.
And I personally would like all the memory to be used (But if it's not available due security), 14 GB sure would be enough for RTX 4070.
And thanks for replying to my message! Have a nice day!
