I have lost the sound after an update. After trying many various things I've found that the "multimedia class scheduler" is completely missing, yes gone. this needed for the sound devices so now nothing works except headphones on a usb connection. How do I get the multi ismedia class scheduler back?

Hello @Pollards
Not a fix, but a suggestion...
I have heard of a few people having this problem and did not see a viable solution other than doing a repair install of Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool.
If you haven't upgraded to Win 10 1903 yet, this should fix the missing files. Ive done an in-place upgrade on two HP systems now and have not experienced any problems.

Thanks Photoray002
I took your advice and went with the Windows 10 update assistant, It's all working perfect now. I've seen so many posts with the same problem and couldn't believe it could be so easy to fix
