Hello, I know it's a little bit too late to ask this but, My laptop is Omen 15 CE030TX and I bought recently the TEAMGROUP MS30 SSD 512 GB SATA III 6gb/s. I wanted to ask if this kind of SSD is compatible to my laptop? Any word of advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

As I said before, that laptop is compatible with NVMe M.2 drives.

So yes it will be compatible with either the EVO or PRO version.

No its not compatible.

Your Omen model will only accept NVMe M.2 SSDs.

I see. So as long as the SSD is NVMe it is compatible to my laptop?

How about I use Samsung evo 970? Do you have any idea if how much is the full capacity for omen 15 in regards to ssd slot?

HP Recommended

Yep that will work. There isnt a capacity limit with drives like there is with memory, so install as big as you can find. :generic:

I know this must be consider as seeking an advice, but let me take this opportunity to ask if 16 gb ram and 1tb of ssd is a good choice for omen 15 ce030tx?

HP Recommended

Fantastic setup. Yes that would be very ideal. The memory slots will hold 8GB sticks each to make 16GB or (2x8)GB sticks. But you want the sticks to have matched pairs. In other words, the timings need to be the same for both sticks, so it will run in Dual Channel configuration.

Do you mean that it must be the same manufacturer or the same frequency?

HP Recommended

frequency or "timings". Never said manufacture.

IF you have an 8GB stick now. use a tool like Speccy or CPUz to view its timings and get another one to match.
