Hey man I have a similar issue where my internal display stopped working but sometimes randomly does i get lines and eventually it dies and i use an external display and it works perfectly fine so im most likely gonna replace the internal display.

I've been using the laptop with a messed up internal display for about 5 months and i have all bios updated and hp support detects nothing.

i have the 2FY68UA OMEN HP Laptop 15-ax25 

I've done all the test duplicated with my monitor and it just wont display great on the internal display.

Using laptopscreens website i can upgrade the display more as well.
