Hi @kailashkiradu, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "CMOS Reset (502) Error" usually indicates an issue with the CMOS battery, BIOS settings, or the BIOS configuration itself. This can happen if the CMOS battery is weak or if there's a problem with the BIOS settings that causes it to reset.

Here are some steps you can follow to potentially fix the issue permanently:

Check the CMOS Battery

  • A weak or failing CMOS battery can cause the laptop to lose BIOS settings, leading to this error. Replacing the CMOS battery might help resolve the issue.
  • If you're comfortable opening your laptop, you can try replacing the CMOS battery with a new one. It’s usually a coin cell battery (CR2032), but refer to your laptop’s manual for the exact part number.

Reset BIOS to Default

  • Restart your laptop and press the F10 key during startup to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Once in the BIOS, navigate to the "Reset to Default" or "Restore Defaults" option.
  • Save and exit the BIOS, then restart the laptop.
  • Sometimes the BIOS may have corrupted settings that need to be reset to defaults.

Update the BIOS

  • If the issue persists, updating the BIOS can help resolve any potential bugs or glitches in the BIOS firmware.
  • Visit the HP Support website and search for the latest BIOS update for your HP Omen model.
  • Follow the instructions provided to update the BIOS safely.

Check for BIOS Configuration Issues

  • Sometimes, specific BIOS settings can cause issues with CMOS resetting. For example, make sure the Secure Boot and Fast Boot options are correctly configured.
  • If you've made any custom changes in the BIOS, try reverting them to default and see if that resolves the issue.

Test with Another Power Source

  • Ensure the power supply is providing a stable voltage. A fluctuating power supply could contribute to the CMOS resetting.
  • If possible, test with another charger or power adapter.

I hope this helps.
