Hello HP Support Team,

I am experiencing a serious battery issue with my HP laptop and would appreciate your assistance.

Recently, I noticed that the battery percentage is behaving very irregularly. Even after the laptop reaches 100% charge, the battery level drops unusually fast once I disconnect the charger. In one instance, the battery showed 100%, then suddenly dropped to around 93% within a very short time. After that, the battery percentage continued to decrease abnormally and eventually went directly to 0%, causing the laptop to shut down unexpectedly without giving me enough warning.

The battery readings do not appear to be accurate, and the laptop sometimes behaves as if the remaining battery percentage is being calculated incorrectly. This makes it difficult to rely on the displayed battery level and creates a risk of unexpected shutdowns while working.

The laptop is approximately one year old, and this issue has started recently. I would like to know whether this problem is related to battery calibration, battery health degradation, the charging system, or any other hardware/software issue.

Please advise me on the recommended troubleshooting steps and let me know if the battery requires inspection or replacement under warranty.

Thank you for your support. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,
Prachi
