I have recently bought an Omen 15 laptop with the following specifications: Intel Core i7-9750H 8 GB DRR4 RAM GTX 1650 4 GB VRAM 1 TB HDD The morning after I set up Windows on the laptop and installed most of my games, I played Sea Of Thieves for an hour without problem, but that night, I tried playing The Witcher 3 and the game closed without an error message after about 7 minutes of play and I have been experiencing the same problem ever since: I am able to play for a few minutes (5-10 on average and once a maximum of 1 hour) before the game suddenly freezes for 2 seconds, closes and turns Discord to a black screen, after which I am unable to launch the game again (I launch the game, but then it immediately closes again before showing any game display of any sort) and when I forcefully close Discord and restart it, it shows a black app screen that "Is not responding". The desktop does work perfectly after the crash as if there isn't any problem, but I have to restart the laptop afterwards if I want to play again.
I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and updating both GeForce Experience and the graphic drivers, but to no avail. I have used the reset option on windows (reset the PC and reinstall Windows), but still encounter the issue and have therefore deduced that the problem isn't due to an error in application installation. I thought the antivirus software might be using needed resources, so I uninstalled it, but it didn't help.
The main game I have been using to test if the issue has been resolved is The Witcher 3 : The Wild Hunt on High settings and encounter this problem on Sea Of Thieves as well, but have no issue playing Don't Starve Together or using lower requirement apps such as Discord, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
I have monitored the temperature of both the CPU and GPU while playing The Witcher 3:
CPU Package Max Temperature : 87C
GPU Max Temperature : 72C
Thanks in advance

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with game performance.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Hi, @The_Fossette
Thank you for the effort of reviewing my post.
My laptop's product number is: 8RU84EA#ACQ
I updated the BIOS to the newest version, but to no avail. The games still crash after about 10 minutes of play.
I have, however, made a discovery. I unplugged my laptop to take photos of the serial number and forgot to plug it in before playing. I ended up playing for an hour, thinking the problem was miraculously resolved, before realizing it was running on battery. I then plugged the charger in and the game immediately crashed.
I then started experimenting: playing games on battery with no issue, that crash within 10 minutes of plugging the laptop in.
Hope this new information helps.
Thanks again for the effort.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.
Right-click your desktop background and select NVIDIA Control Panel. You can also find this tool by performing a Start menu (or Start screen) search for NVIDIA Control Panel or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in your system tray and selecting Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
To quickly set a system-wide preference, you could use the Adjust image settings with the preview option. For example, if you have old hardware that struggles to play the games you want to play, you may want to select “Use my preference emphasizing” and move the slider all the way to “Performance.” This trades graphics quality for an increased frame rate.
By default, the “Use the advanced 3D image settings” option is selected. You can select Manage 3D settings and change advanced settings for all programs on your computer or just for specific games. NVIDIA keeps a database of the optimal settings for various games, but you’re free to tweak individual settings here. Just mouse-over an option for an explanation of what it does.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
