Over the past week, I have received a few SMART DISK errors upon boot up, but otherwise haven't noted anything wrong with my computer. I am able, currently, to use it as normal, so I was not concerned. I ran some diagnostic testing, however, and the problem seems to be pretty likely to become serious. I received the message: 'HP Hard drive check has identified a critical failure in your system that requires repair.' but was given no advice on how to move forward safely nor who to contact. I am not currently under warranty and I am hoping to avoid expensive repairs.

Some research has led me to think this might be an overheating issue, but I am not entirely sure what is causing this sudden change.  The change has loosely correlated with me moving Fortnite onto my hard drive from my external storage, too, but that might be a coincidence. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
