Hi @vivekraghu

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing the photo—this clearly shows backlight bleeding along the bottom edge of your HP Victus screen. Here's how to assess and address it:

What Is Backlight Bleeding?

Backlight bleeding occurs when light from the screen’s backlight leaks around the edges of the LCD panel. It’s most visible on dark backgrounds and can vary in severity.

Step-by-Step Actions You Can Take

1. Run HP Diagnostics

Use HP’s built-in tool to confirm the issue:

  • Press Esc during boot → then F2 for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  • Run the Display Test under “Component Tests”
  • Observe the screen in dark mode—if bleeding persists, document it

You can also run HP Diagnostics Online from your browser.

2. Check for Panel Pressure or Flex

  • Gently press around the screen bezel—excess pressure can worsen bleeding
  • Avoid over-tightening the lid or using screen protectors that press on the panel

Some minor bleeding is common in IPS panels. If it’s only visible in pitch-black screens and doesn’t affect daily use, HP may classify it as within tolerance. But your image suggests it’s quite pronounced—worth checking.

Let me know how it goes.
