Hello, i noticed my hp laptop sometimes the screen freezes but the audio still works on the background. Cant move mouse and keyboard doesnt work. I suspect is from switching from charging to battery, also thing, the cable doesnt fix well and some times when i am gaming and does the switch i can cause that but i am not sure. It happened two times already and needed to do a reset to fix it. Couldnt find anything on the event manager. Any suggestions ?

This is likely caused by the graphics driver but memory and other hardware is also possible.  You might check in the event viewer for an error message.  It might be cryptic such as "nkvd fault" which indicated a problem with my own nvidia board.  If the keyboard is not working then that WIN+CTRL+SHIFT+B will not reset the graphics card but you could try it.

What model laptop?  Product ID?

Didnt find any error on the event viewer related to the freeze. The only one error i found was after i force shutdown my laptop. WIN+CTRL+SHIFT+B didnt resolve the problem only the force shutdown. My laptop is a OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-db0000 (9A9W2AV) with 32gb of ram. Could it be when it goes from charging to battery and is in heavy duty it freezes since the processor in the advanced power options is less on battery than it is on charging ? think it is 30% on battery and 100% on charge. If i put it at 100% will it fix the issue ? Might try that. Since some times i m gaming and the charger disconects and it lags for a bit and sometimes it just freezes and the audio still keeps going. Only a hard shutdown fixes it.
