The screen hinge is failing on the laptop. The laptop is three years old. A local repair shop is unable to repair the issue and has said the the laptop will need to go yo HP for repair. Where would I go for a repair within the UK?
I've since taken the laptop to PC World as advised here. They are unable to repair the laptop. Any other ideas are welcome!

Hi Echo,
Your suggested action takes me back to the loop that I was in before - the suggested resellers cannot repair the laptop which leaves with with the option to seek advice from the support community.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Murray.

Thank you for posting back.
If you are having trouble navigating via the contact HP options, generally it is because either your product is Out of Warranty or you are trying to get support beyond the business hours and our business hours falls between 8 am to 6 pm EST. We also have an option to contact us via Facebook and Twitter in wake of exigency.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Echo,
As stated below, the laptop is 3 years old so is out of warranty.
The options on HP Options on the UK site are:
1. Contact the reseller. I've done this and they are unable to offer a repair.
2. Use the HP support community.
Neither of these options have resulted in a solution.
Am I to take it that HP lack the means to effect a repair on the machine, due to it being out of warranty?
Murray.
