I have an omen gaming pc I think it’s the 30l I just updated the bios for I can play cod, and before the update the secure boot was on. And now no matter what I do I can’t get it to turn back on. It doesn’t even give me the option to click it on or off until I do the load the factory keys and then I turn it on and save and exit. And still nothing. I go back into bios and the secure boot is still on. But again it’s not on when I load the pc back on. And the uefi is on doesn’t give me the option to even switch it. So I’m guessing legacy isn’t on there or the other one. But  I need help idk what to do

Hi @Nanez,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that Secure Boot shows as enabled in the BIOS but is not active after boot. The provided HP content only confirms this general behavior:

  • On newer HP PCs with UEFI and Secure Boot, older hardware or configuration changes can prevent expected boot behavior.

  • In BIOS, Secure Boot settings are found under Security > Secure Boot Configuration.

  • HP’s example shows changes may require:

    • entering BIOS with Esc

    • Opening Computer Setup

    • going to Security

    • using Secure Boot Configuration

    • Then saving changes and confirming them on restart.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

So the issues is I updated to a new bios and everytime time I but secure boot on and save it loads up and gives me an error code saying secure boot violation. Then followed with a no disk drive found. If I turn secure boot off I can boot into windows normally
