HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0068wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So my laptop suddenly gave me the Boot Device Not Found screen of death. I'm attempting to locate operating system drivers as it appears after all test, there are none. HP doesn't show any OS installation drivers for my system, the only thing it suggests is going to a HP customer support location. Warranty is expired fml. I can only upload from USB (no disc drive). Anyone know where I may be able to access a proper OS installation for my HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0068wm?

Hi:

Your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer, and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility...

Hi thanks for your reply. I am in a further rutt, now my bios is not loading. I attempted to recover using a USB with the bios downloaded on to it. I hold down the windows key +B key, hit the power for 2-3 secs and it tells me that BIOS is not working (and to use a USB which I'm already doing). My research tells me I need to reset the CMOS. I'm not sure if windows recovery will work since my bios appears to be corrupted, but I'll try this first before attempting to reset the CMOS.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you if the BIOS is corrupt.

That is normally the end of the line when the BIOS fails, and recovering from the BIOS file created on a USB flash drive also failed.

Thanks anyway for the reply. Those were my thoughts and I think resetting the CMOS is the last resort.
