Hi, this is more of an issue with the website but there's no forum for that. I'm trying to register my HP product and for some reason it won't accept my serial number as valid. I'm copy/pasting it directly from My Orders, which does match the serial number on the back of my laptop. I can't verify whether it's the same in the operating system as my computer will not turn on-which I'm on here in the first place.

Hi @Alyj13

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are unable to register your HP product because the website is rejecting the serial number as invalid, even though you copied it directly from your order details and confirmed that it matches the serial number printed on the laptop. Since the computer is currently not powering on, you are also unable to verify the serial number through the operating system.

To help determine whether this is a website registration issue or a product-record mismatch, could you please confirm the Serial number via private message and the invoice.

To access your private message, just click the little blue envelope icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile name. Alternatively, you can click on this link.

Once these details are confirmed, we can further isolate the registration issue and advise on the appropriate next step.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
