Omen Transcend 14
Microsoft Windows 11

How can I adjust the performance settings for my Omen Transcend 14 laptop without having to go through the Omen Gaming Hub?

I have no need for the games store, gallery etc, and I don't want to see adverts on my brand-new $2000 purchase, let alone for some dodgy-looking waifu games.  The gaming hub is an unwanted resource hog when all I need is to be able to quickly adjust the power mode.

You need to select your preferred power mode once in Windows Settings, and it stays that way until you change it again, no need to open anything every time or deal with ads.

Disable Omen Gaming Hub from Task Manager's Startup apps tab to keep it closed in the background, only opening it manually when you want.

Thanks! Is there a recommended config for each power mode that I can recreate in Windows power plans?  I'd like to replicate eco (silent, no fans), balanced and performance.

No, just Select Eco, Balanced, or Performance directly from the Omen Gaming Hub app. Modern Standby locks advanced processor power states and fan control to prevent sleep/wake issues; changes may not stick or could destabilize. Fans spin at low RPM even in Eco/normal use to maintain safe temps (e.g., VRMs, SSD), "no fans" risks overheating unless in a cold environment, which isn't recommended.

You can Pair with Windows Power Mode (Best power efficiency/Balanced/Best performance) for minor tweaks, but prioritize Omen.
