Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598V2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

While gaming on my laptop, specifically playing Cyberpunk, I experience an average frame time of 30+ ms. Additionally, there are severe micro stutters and overheating issues.

Hi @PrabhatTechGuru,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to deal with performance issues while gaming. To address the performance issues, micro-stutters, and overheating on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop (15-fb0147AX) while playing Cyberpunk,

Step 1: Upgrade RAM

  • Cyberpunk 2077 recommends 16GB RAM. You currently have 8GB, which causes stuttering and high frame times due to paging.

Step 2: Manage Overheating with HP OMEN Gaming Hub

Even on Victus, OMEN Gaming Hub manages thermals.

  1. Download/Install OMEN Gaming Hub from Microsoft Store.
  2. Open it > Go to Performance Control
  3. Set to “Performance Mode” or “Cool Mode”.
  4. Optionally undervolt the CPU slightly (if available and safe) to reduce heat.

Step 3:  Update BIOS and Drivers (from HP Support Assistant)

HP emphasizes keeping all firmware and drivers up to date.

Steps:

  1. Open HP Support Assistant ( HP Support Assistant Link).
  2. Click the “Updates” tab.
  3. Install all recommended updates, especially:
  • BIOS
  • Chipset drivers
  • Graphics drivers (AMD Radeon/NVIDIA)
  • Thermal Management Tools

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
