Hi @sjmauris,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing the image. Based on what I see, your HP OMEN 17-ck1000 laptop is showing the error: "No audio device is installed." This typically happens after a driver update, especially if the audio driver was removed, corrupted, or replaced with an incompatible version.

Steps to Fix the “No Audio Device Installed” Error

1. Reinstall the Audio Driver

2. Use HP Support Assistant

  • Open HP Support Assistant from the Start Menu.
  • Run Check for Updates and install any audio-related updates.

3. Check Device Manager

  • Press Win + X > Device Manager
  • Expand Sound, video and game controllers
  • If you see:
    • Unknown Device or No device listed: Right-click and choose Scan for hardware changes
    • If still missing, go to Action > Add legacy hardware and follow prompts to reinstall manually

4. Run Windows Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
  • Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
