No windows 11 25H2 option? My windows is updated, I just want to be sure if that BIOS F.26 is the one for my PC because I cant change operational system on HP website. The one I have installed is F.25. Why when I search for updates with HP Support assistant it says that system is up to date if I can find a BIOS update ion HP website? I´m confused 🙂
This one?

Thank you for sharing the details.
This Omen laptop is not tested on Windows 11.
Kindly click on the below link for BIOS version:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp158501-159000/sp158697.exe
Note: While installing the BIOS driver, Kindly connect the power adapter to the unit.

I've already installed the BIOS without any problems. And what about the audio driver? Should I keep the generic Realtek that's working fine or uninstall it to install another version?
And how do I remove the drivers that are on the PC so that there are no future problems when trying to update? When I try to update and search the PC I find three drivers: The generic High-definition audio device, the 2023 version that had static problems and another version, suggested by Copilot - supposedly compatible with my system, from 2026 that caused the boot loop problem. The first one is the generic high-definition audio device.
Sorry for being so annoying 🙂

Hi @TubaroS,
Thank you for the detailed update.
The fact that the generic High Definition Audio Device driver eliminated the static in the games is a useful finding.
Since the generic driver is currently working, I recommend keeping it for now rather than reinstalling the Realtek driver that was causing the problem.
Regarding the three drivers shown under “Let me pick from a list of available drivers”:
- High Definition Audio Device- this is the generic Microsoft driver that is currently working. Keep this one installed for testing.
- Realtek 2023 driver- this is the version that was producing the crackling, so I would not switch back to it at this point.
- Realtek 2026 driver- since installing this previously resulted in a boot loop, I would also avoid using that package for now.
You don't need to manually remove every driver package simply because it appears in the list. Selecting a different compatible driver does not necessarily mean the older package has to be deleted.
If Windows keeps replacing the generic driver after a restart:
- Open Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings.
- Select the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Installation Settings.
- If offered, select No to prevent Windows from automatically downloading manufacturer apps/drivers.
- Restart the notebook and check whether the generic driver remains active.
Also check Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates and avoid installing a Realtek audio driver while you're testing the generic driver.
If the generic driver continues to work normally after several restarts and gaming sessions, that gives us a much stronger indication that the issue is specific to the Realtek driver package.
I would not recommend trying the 2026 Realtek package again, especially since it previously caused a boot loop. If you want to return to an HP-provided Realtek driver later, use only the package listed for your exact OMEN 15 model on HP's support page.
Please let us know whether the generic driver remains active after a restart and whether the static returns.

Hi @TubaroS,
Thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear that you've restarted the PC several times and the generic High Definition Audio Device driver has remained in place without the static returning.
It's great that the sound issue is resolved for now. Please continue using the system normally and keep us posted if the crackling returns or you notice any other audio issues.
