Product: HP Victus 15-fb1013dx Gaming Laptop

I have a HP Victus 15-fb1013dx Gaming Laptop and I am looking to upgrade my current storage (SSD) and RAM. Could someone help me find the exact products I need to look for this specific computer? I want to purchase a RAM stick that has 8 gigs and a 1 TB SSD. Thank you.

Hi:

 

HP only has the service manual for the older model series on your notebook's suppory page.

 

Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb1000 - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support

 

You should be able to perform the upgrades you want because even the older service manual indicates that at least 2 x 8 GB of memory is supported, and HP offered drives up to 1 TB in the model series.

 

The major difference is...

 

1. Your notebook uses DDR5-4800 memory, not DDR4-3200 memory

 

2. Your notebook supports a PCIe 4 x 4 NVMe SSD, so you are not limited to a PCIe 3 x 4 NVMe SSD.
