Good day!
It's been 9-10 months already since I started getting prompt about how my battery has deteriorated (the blue message) but I still haven't replaced the battery yet. Since then I can only use my laptop for 10 mins max unplugged. So when I use it for longer period of time such as playing, I'm charging my laptop while playing for a few hours. Today I just discovered that the area around my touchpad has expanded. Would you guys recommend I go buy a new battery and replace it myself by watching tutorial videos or should I go to a technician? I'm kind of scared of entrusting it to someone else. And where can I find the correct battery for my laptop? Hoping for a favorable feedback, thank you!

You should replace your battery ASAP, as an expanding battery may cause damage to your laptop, in addition to it becoming a fire hazard too.
If you provide your laptop's full model number, I can tell you the part number for a replacement battery.
Replacing a laptop battery is usually not too complicated, and you should be able to do it yourself. Once I got your laptop model number, I can look for a user-friendly YouTube instructional video for you.
Once you got a replacement battery, you could also take it to a legit local laptop repair/service shop, and they should be able to install the new battery for a minimal fee.

Thanks for the response! I decided to remove the battery myself. My laptop is Victus 15-fa0xxx. I also found a local HP service center within the city. I plan to ask them if they have available battery suitable for my laptop. If there is none, would you recommend I buy online for the replacement? Your help is very much appreciated!

Of course, happy to assist you anyway I can!
Btw, the HP Victus 15-fa0xxx family does not use a single universal battery. There are multiple battery options depending on the exact configuration of the laptop. The exact submodel matters (for example: fa0031dx, fa1093nr, fa0010ca, etc.).
The safest way to identify the correct battery for your particular laptop is for me to get the laptop's full product number -not just "15-fa0xxx".
Or open the bottom cover of your laptop and read the existing battery model directly.
Common part numbers seen in the 15-fa series include:
SD03XL → HP part number: L84394-006
WK04XL → HP part number: M39179-005

The serial number you provided is incorrect. When I searched for a product number here, it said: "The serial number entered is incorrect. Please check and correct the serial number below and try again."
In addition, we are not supposed to handle serial numbers to begin with.
Please type: System Information in your lower Windows search bar, click on the System Information App, and look to the right of "System Model" and "System SKU" and provide that information.

OK, according to HP PartSurfer, the part number for the replacement battery for your HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx is: M39179-005 "SKO-BATT 4C70Wh 4.55Ah LI WK04XL-PL".
You can purchase a quality WK04XL replacement battery online, such as via Lazada Philippines: M39179-005- Best Prices and Deals | Lazada Philippines.
