Hi @Aditya7890,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Omen 16 laptop's touchpad. Technical issues like this can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem. Here's a step-by-step guide.

  • Update Drivers: Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the official HP website, entering your laptop model, and downloading the latest touchpad drivers.
  • Windows Update: Make sure your operating system is fully updated through Windows Update. Sometimes, system updates include fixes for hardware-related issues.
  • BIOS Update: Check if there is a BIOS update available for your laptop. BIOS updates can sometimes address hardware compatibility and performance issues. Be cautious while updating the BIOS and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
  • Check Touchpad Settings: Open the Windows Settings, go to "Devices," and select "Touchpad." Make sure that the touchpad is enabled and check the touchpad settings for any adjustments that might improve responsiveness.
  • Disable and Re-enable Touchpad: Sometimes, disabling and re-enabling the touchpad can resolve temporary glitches. You can do this through the Device Manager.
  • Run Hardware Diagnostics: Many laptops come with built-in hardware diagnostics tools. Check if your laptop has one and run a diagnostic test on the touchpad to identify any hardware issues.
  • Check for Physical Damage: Ensure that there is no physical damage to the touchpad. If the laptop is still under warranty and you can't resolve the issue, consider contacting HP support for assistance or to inquire about a possible replacement.

Remember to back up your important data before performing any significant updates or changes to your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
