"2025-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5051987)" After this update, my double touch is changed to triple touch. Upon reseting the PC, the problem goes away, but as soon as the update gets downloaded, the problem again comes back. I have been facing this problem for the last 3 months.

@Subhamiox987, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your touchpad issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like the Windows update is interfering with your touchpad settings or driver. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:
Check Touchpad Settings
- Go to Settings → Devices → Touchpad
- Look for the Tap gestures section and check if the setting has changed from double-tap to triple-tap. Adjust it if needed.
Update or Roll Back Touchpad Driver
- Press Win + X → Device Manager
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices
- Right-click on your touchpad driver (e.g., Synaptics, ELAN, or Precision Touchpad)
- Click Update driver → Search automatically
- If the issue started after the update, try Roll Back Driver (if available).
Install Manufacturer’s Touchpad Driver
- Visit HP’s official support page
- Enter your laptop model (Victus by HP 15-fb0000)
- Download and install the latest Touchpad driver under the "Drivers & Software" section.
Block the Problematic Windows Update
If the issue persists and is caused by the update, you can hide or disable it:
- Download "Show or Hide Updates" Troubleshooter from Microsoft
- Run the tool and select KB5051987 to hide it.
Use System Restore (if available)
- Search "Create a restore point" in Windows
- Open System Restore and choose a restore point before the update was installed.
Let me know if any of these steps work, or if you need further help! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
