Hi @OMAR-Soliman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When upgrading your laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11, sometimes certain drivers or settings might not carry over correctly, causing issues like your touchpad not scrolling properly. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the touchpad scrolling issue.
Update Touchpad Drivers
Open Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Locate Touchpad Device:
- Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
- Right-click on your touchpad device (it might be listed as Synaptics, ELAN, or HID-compliant touchpad).
Update Driver:
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If no updates are found, you can visit the HP Support website, search for your specific laptop model, and download the latest touchpad drivers manually.
Install Windows Precision Drivers
Sometimes, Windows 11 might not automatically switch to the Precision drivers, which offer better support for gestures.
Download Precision Drivers:
- You can find these drivers on the manufacturer's website (Synaptics or ELAN) or through the HP Support site.
Install the Drivers:
- Follow the installation instructions provided with the downloaded drivers.
- Reboot your laptop after installation.
Adjust Touchpad Settings
Open Settings:
- Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
Navigate to Touchpad Settings:
- Go to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.
Enable Gestures:
- Ensure Scroll & zoom is enabled.
- Under Scroll & zoom, make sure the Drag two fingers to scroll option is turned on.

Use HP Support Assistant
HP Support Assistant can automatically find and install the latest drivers and updates for your laptop.
Download and Install HP Support Assistant:
- You can download it from the HP Support Assistant page.
Run HP Support Assistant:
- Open the application and let it scan your system for updates and missing drivers.
- Follow the prompts to install any recommended updates.
Roll Back or Reinstall the Touchpad Driver
Open Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Locate Touchpad Device:
- Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
- Right-click on your touchpad device.
Roll Back Driver:
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver if the option is available.
- If not, you can uninstall the driver and then restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall a generic driver upon reboot.
BIOS/UEFI Update
Ensure your BIOS/UEFI is up to date, as it can sometimes affect hardware functionality.
Download BIOS Update:
- Visit the HP Support website, search for your specific model, and download the latest BIOS update if available.
Install BIOS Update:
- Follow the provided instructions carefully to update your BIOS/UEFI.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the touchpad scrolling functionality on your OMEN By HP 15 laptop after upgrading to Windows 11.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
