Omen 15 ax209ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Omen 15 ax209ns with the screen broken, and I use it with a hdmi screen. I want to use it like a desktop computer and turn it on with an USB keyboard. Some body could send me snapshot of the bios to select it? Because I couldn't see the bios at the external hdmi screen.

@JuliusFA

In some UEFI PCs, there are settings that allow you to enable the USB ports when the PC is turned off.  These are generally contained in Legacy USB settings.

But if you do not have those, or can not get to those, then you can't do what you want to do because these settings are disabled by default.

Hi@JuliusFA, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that notebook has an issue with the USB keyboard doesn't work on BIOS.

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document fix :-

  • Please perform a hard reset by pressing the power button for 10sec
  • Then connect a USB wired keyboard and mouse to the notebook computer
  • It looks like a wireless keyboard that you are using. So please use a wired keyboard and mouse using a USB port and access the bios. It should work.
  • Wireless keyboards don’t work outside of windows to access the bios.
  • The wired USB keyboard should help you access the bios without hassles. You don’t need to enable the USB ports to access the bios. Pressing F10 as soon as you power on the computer should help you access the bios.
  • Once you access the bios, you could load the bios defaults from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00364979

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
