Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb2000 (90Q65AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

my laptop hp victus ryzen 7 8845 hs, rtx 4050 (6gb). supports type-c dp 1.4 but has output from iGPU. and HDMI 2.1 has output from dGPU. Problem is not many external monitors provide HDMI 2.1 with 2k display and 200hz or more refresh rate. my laptop comes with 144hz, so going to 180hz external monitor is not an intelligent move according to me, but going to 200+ "could be" (according to me). so if i connect to type-c will it affect harshly to my fps?

i know if games load/work on dGPU and gives output through iGPU to external monitor, there will 5-10 fps drop due to 2-3ms latency.

But i am not sure if the games will load/work on dGPU if i connect to type-c! please help, i hope you understand what i am trying to say!

Nvidia control panel shows the HDMI/Type-C connection. Check it confirm which GPU which external monitor use when connected via type-C. Go to View > 3D Settings > PhysX and find somewhere here
