HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 15-dk1000ni
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi Guys -

My laptop (15-dk1000ni) has a USB C port with a power (lightning/thunderbolt) icon above it. This port 100% charges devices which are plugged in, BUT can I charge my laptop via it? In other words, can my laptop be charged via the USB C port?

I cannot find any info on this on the web, however from everything I read all laptops with USB C power delivery can accept charge input. I am a bit confused as none of the USB C chargers I have tried works.

If this laptop does support USB charging, what charger should I be using?

Thanks in advance!
Adolf

Yes, you can charge your machine using a USB-C charger with wattage rating 150W or more.

Thank you Banhien!

Just to confirm, I have ordered a HP E27u G4 monitor. This supports USB-C power delivery up to 65w. Will my laptop charge on 65w? If yes, do I need a special cable or will any smartphone fast charging USB-C cable work?

Thanks,

Adolf
