Hi @dwatfs,
Thank you for your response,
To ensure that the USB-C port with DisplayPort (DP) connectivity on a laptop is connected to the discrete graphics processing unit (DGPU), you need to find a laptop model that explicitly mentions this feature in its specifications or has a detailed technical review confirming this setup.
One HP product that fits this criteria is the HP Omen 15. This gaming laptop often comes with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort output, and it's typically connected to the dedicated graphics card. However, I recommend double-checking the specifications or consulting technical reviews for the specific model you're interested in to confirm this information.
Additionally, it's always a good idea to verify this detail with the HP before making a purchase to ensure it meets your requirements for VR use.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi .@Alden4,
I took a look at the specs of the all Omen laptops in the current line-up and could not find any information on that topic.
I will probably stick to XMG laptops, because they always list which gpu their ports are connected to.
