Hello there. Dear HP, I hope any you could help me solve this issue. I'm facing significant data transfer from laptop to my  pendrive. I've tested with 3 of my prendrives and it gave me the same result which I concluded no faulty on my flash drives. As I observed the speed greaph,it keep on repeating the same pattern and drop back to 0bytes/s speed which is truly impractical. This only happen on pendrives. On other hardware such external hardisk or SD card, it won't happen. Could anyone help me how to solve this issue? is this a hardware or software problem??

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, data transfer from your notebook to a USB drive is very slow,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Did you try to transfer different data instead of just one file?

Let's try these steps

Install Windows Update and HP Support Assistant Updates:

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

For HP Support Assistant Updates:

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
  2. Click My devices to see My PC. In this box, there are two options, Updates and Messages, both of which could require attention. You know attention is required if you see an exclamation mark.
  3. Click Updates if it has an exclamation mark next to it. If there is no exclamation mark next to Updates
  4. From the Updates available section, check the boxes for all the updates, then click Download and install.
  5. Follow any on-screen instructions.
  6. Restart your computer.

Also, perform a BIOS and Chipset Update from HP Website: Click here

If the issue persists, create a new user account: Click here

Let me know how this goes,

Cheers!
