Hello @Bartacia
It always helps to give us the exact Product Number when asking for help. Its found in the HP Support Assistant (HPSA).
IF you only just now purchased an Omen dc0xxx series laptop, it will absolutely have Bios updates available.
BUT I do not advise using the HP Support Assistant to update the Bios. If it shows a Bios update available, deselect it and go to the HP Drivers page for your model. Download the update from there and run it. Make sure nothing else is running and have the PC plugged in to the power cord.
Set the HPSA to only check for updates, but not to install them. This way it wont automatically install an update that you don't want.
Yes your warranty will still be good if only a bios update was installed.
