Product: Pavillion 15-cx0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have Pavillion 15-cx0xxx gaming laptop. It has 16 GB (8x 2) RAM and 128GB SSD. I would like to:

1. Upgrade RAM to 32GB (16 x 2)

2. Add additional SSD with higher capacity as secondary

Are these 2 things possible?

What is your Pavillion 15-cx0xxx  (xxx can be from 000 to 999) ? For example HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0164tx :

But I believe the cx0xxx machines have same basics specs therefore

 

1. RAM: You can upgrade to 32GB (2 x 16GB) using following RAM

      https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/pavilion-gaming-15-cx0164tx/CT14849758

 

2. For 2.5" SSD:  You can use 2TB 2.5" SSD from Crucial MX500/BX500 series or Samsung 860 EVO series. Sinice your machine only has 128GB of M.2 SSD,  you would need following parts.

 

    Hard drive bracket L20325-001
    Hard drive cable L20324-001
    Miscellaneous Kit (includes WLAN Mylar and hard drive cover Mylar) L29160-001

 

Note: The above machine has dual storage pre-installed

For SSD - Is it possible to add second SSD or do I need to replace current one?
