Before buying a USB-C to DisplayPort (DP) cable from the store, I want to confirm whether the USB-C port on my laptop sends video through the Intel integrated GPU (iGPU) or the NVIDIA dedicated GPU (dGPU).

When I check the NVIDIA Control Panel, it does not show any information about which GPU is controlling the USB-C output. Because of this, I cannot tell if the USB-C to DP connection will be handled by the dGPU or if it will go through the iGPU using Optimus.image.png

I'm running into this same issue trying to configure a g-sync monitor via display port -> USB-C connection. Disabling the integrated graphics got me further but then no longer displays the other monitor. My guess is maybe the usb-c port only recognizes the integrated graphics card?
