Everytime I turn on my computer the loading circle from start up freezes. I've tried rebooting it and it freezes as well. I ran all the test on the boot menu and said that everything was okay. Not sure what else I can do.

Hi @GamingTuna,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how concerning it is when your Victus Gaming Laptop freezes at the startup loading circle, especially when diagnostics show no hardware faults. Let’s walk through this.

Steps for Startup Freezing Issue

When your laptop freezes at the Windows loading circle, it often points to a corrupted startup file, driver conflict, or system file error

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect all peripherals and power.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and try booting again.

2. Boot into Safe Mode

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Turn it on and press F11 repeatedly to enter Windows Recovery Environment.
  • Go to Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  • Choose Safe Mode with Networking.
  • If it boots successfully, update drivers and uninstall any recent software changes.

3. Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI

Even though you’ve run tests, try this again from outside Windows:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Turn it on and press Esc, then F2.
  • Run System Tests > Extensive Test to recheck all components.

BIOS Recovery – If You Suspect BIOS Corruption

If the system doesn’t boot or shows a blank screen, you can attempt a BIOS recovery:

Steps to Recover BIOS:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Connect the AC adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Windows key + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
  4. Release all keys. If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
