Hii, so I had my victus hp 16 for like a year and 2 months, it was always really smooth, I played a lot of games and I never had any problems with it but 5 days ago I started to notice that it was slowing down, in games and just in general, I thought it was some virus because it always seemed like my ram was 80% used or 60% 50% really high numbers, yesterday I decided to reset my laptop, today I was setting my PC up and it was really slow, when I opened my omen gaming hub I went to check what was wrong and it said that my ram was still like that really high, I closed apps and it went down a little bit but then I saw my cpu and it was 2% and it randomly went up to like 60% - 80%, I updated my windows and it still like that, help me please!!

Hi @Luna08,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with slow performance.
After a certain period of usage, the laptop becomes slow, laggy, and eventually becomes completely unresponsive
That is due to heat. More work especially games will generate heat and make the machine slow down. Keeping it cooler using a cool pad should help.
2. The laptop functions normally when watching YouTube videos and other videos
Watching videos or doing light work won't generate much heat therefore machine runs at normal.
However, please follow the steps mentioned in the video link. Click here
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
