Dear HP Global Technical Support Team,

I am writing to formally request technical documentation and authorized repair guidance regarding an HP laptop motherboard that has sustained PCB-level thermal damage, as indicated by visible burn marks on the board.

Motherboard Identification Details:
Model: DAG3P-AMB8D0
Revision: REV
Board Code: G3P

In order to perform a precise component-level diagnosis and ensure compliance with HP repair standards, I respectfully request the following:

  • The official motherboard schematic and/or boardview documentation for this specific model and revision

  • Authorized repair guidance, including known failure points, reference voltage specifications, affected power rails, and recommended procedures for repairing or replacing burnt or damaged components

Access to this information will enable an accurate and controlled repair process and may help avoid unnecessary motherboard replacement.

Thank you for your professional support.

Hi @smart-life

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand your request and the urgency around repairing your Victus by HP Gaming Laptop motherboard. For safety and compliance reasons,

HP does not provide public access to PCB‑level schematics or boardview documentation.

What is available are service manuals and diagnostic tools that guide safe disassembly, part replacement, and hardware testing.

What you can do right now:

  • Use the official service manual for your model: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15 – Manuals.

  • Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (press F2 at startup) to check hardware integrity and confirm which subsystems are affected.

  • Reset BIOS defaults (press Esc > F10 at startup, then “Load Setup Defaults”) to clear any firmware misconfiguration.

  • If burn marks are visible, the safest path is board replacement rather than component‑level repair, since voltage rail specifications and repair procedures are not published for end‑user use.

So while schematics aren’t shared, you can rely on the service manual, diagnostics, and BIOS reset to isolate the issue. If the board damage is extensive, replacement is the supported option.

If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
