HP Omen 15-dc0013no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello. About a month ago I bought a HP Omen 15 gaming laptop, and it has been giving me the blue screen of death nearly every day, and games have been crashing randomly. These are all the error codes I've gotten from the BSOD's : driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, netwtw08.sys, bthport.sys, attempted_execute_of_noexecute_memory, pfn_list_corrupt, and a couple more. I believe there is something wrong with the RAM or/and the network drivers. And there's the problem. I've tried to install the recommended network drivers (Intel WLAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 10, version 20.90.0.7) through the HP Support assistant, but it keeps giving me an error when installing "Unable to apply configuration: Wifiapp". I don't know what to do about that one. I'm also curious if opening the back lid and checking if the RAM is damaged, voids my warranty.

Hi:

I recommend that you install the latest wifi driver directly from Intel...

Version: 21.10.1 (Latest)     Date: 5/21/2019

Did you run the memory test using the F2 diagnostics program?

Turn on or restart the PC.  Tap the Esc key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen.

This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics should be an option. Press the F2 key and run the tests from there.

Since this is a peer to peer forum, we cannot address warranty subjects.

I could only assume that you will not void the warranty as long as you don't break something in the process of getting to where the memory is located.

Make sure you know where your notebook's service manual is located before tearing into it.

Just to piggyback of that Hp support assistant has been giving the yellow triangle warning recommending that you update certain drivers, but wont let you and says OS version not right or something. Its because of the recent windows 10 1903 version and those drivers are specific to that version of Windows 10 and you're probably on Version 1809 or earlier. So make sure that driver is for you're version had to find out the hard way trying to figure out why my drivers wouldnt update. P.S if you can put up with it holdout on 1903 because its causing some people problems
