Hello everybody:
I have just bought a new laptop, the HP OMEN 15-CE082NS Intel Core i5-7300HQ/8GB/1TB/GTX 1060/15.6. I would like to change 2 things of this computer before starting to use it:
- Ram, i would like to include another extra 8 Gb
- I would like to change the 1TB HDD for a 500 SSD
- Include a M.2 in the system.
In order to do this, first thing is opening the computer but, since it is brand new, i would like to know if, once i open it the warranty will not take effect anymore? Thank you in advance

Hello @Macklusky,
I cannot guarantee it for every model, but it is generally accepted that opening up the laptop will not void the warranty. However, any damage instigated during the upgrade procedure by the user will not be covered. Furthermore, HP warranty does not cover the brand new parts and instead those parts fall under the applicable OEM's warranty.
I.E. Accidentally damaging the fans or the screws, etc will not be covered
I.E. Replacing the HDD with a Samsung SSD means the SSD will be covered by Samsung's hardware warranty
Here's your Maintenance and Service Guide which should be of assistance.
Hope that helps,
Eddy
