Hi, I know this has been asked before but I find the answer extremely vague or not answered. Please could HP offer guidance for a docking station that will charge the HP Omen dc0507na? It takes a 200w charger so the usual USB-C dock doesn't charge the laptop but it does work for everything else.
I wanted to use external monitors and was hoping to keep the laptop lid closed and use the power button on the docking station but this doesn't work and I assume it is because of the limited power the dock provides. I purchased the HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock.
Thank you so much for your constructive replies, Lee.
PS: Could I plug the laptop's original 200w charger into the docking station instead of the original dock 90w charger? I am unsure if this will work/damage the dock/laptop. Thanks!

Its specs

The only hope is

I have not tested it on my Omen (also use 200W) because I don't want to spend big bucks just for few hours test.
I only use my Omen once or twice a month for video/photo editing and I only need it for 2 monitors.
Regards.

Hi Banhien, thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I may be in a position to borrow a G2 dock and test it. I see there are two versions (120w and 230w) so I will try to borrow the 230w. I will update the results here but this may take a couple of weeks.
