Looking to buy another m.2 ssd for the spare slot in my laptop. But does anyone know which would be compatible? I'm ordering it from amazon and don't want to get the wrong ssd.
I see on amazon ssds with 3 pins and 2 pins. Which one should I get

https://www.amazon.com/Black-SN750-NVMe-Internal-Gaming/dp/B07M64QXMN/ (2 pins)

The specs of your machine is

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06656951

It supports M.2 NVMe SSD, you can use

            https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/970-evo-nvme-m2-ssd/MZ-V7E2T0BW/
            https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-p2-ssd
            https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-p5-ssd
    Or similar from reputable vendors.
            One example (compatible drive)

              https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p5/ct1000p5ssd8/ct18162709

The second one on your link is also compatible. If you wish to use product from Crucial please use P1, P2 or P5 as shown above, not MX500 series which is SATA only.

Regards.

As a reference from Solution Reply....

I recently installed  (2 days ago) "WB Black SN750 - 1 TB NVMe"  as Data Drive and is working better than expected.

The Intel 512gb+32gb Optane still my main OS/Programs drive and WB SN750 as Data/Game drive.
