Why there is no option to change/control fan speed in HP pavilion gaming even though it's a gaming laptop?

Earlier it did not support OMEN Command Center but after the Oct'19 update we got Command center SDK, so now we can install it and see the vitals like the temperature of GPU & CPU but we can't control the fans.

Also, I've checked many softwares for manual fan control but I think the EC's firmware is set to automatic, is there any way we can change it to manual, in the BIOS or something?

Because, the native automatic controls are pretty bad which causes the laptop to heat-up pretty quickly during video editing or gaming sessions.

I believe HP is working on this. At the beginning HP gave this option but after some hiccups from users (over control) HP gave this option for heat sensors but many users want to control fans back.

From my view, mixing sensors and users is the way to go but how to program sensors to stop users overdone this option may take time.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

@Banhien

Well, first of all, thanks for such a prompt reply.

I hope HP updates their firmware soon and gives fan-control to us because sometimes it gets really frustrating that your laptop is hot as an oven and you can't do anything about it.

Well, I guess waiting is the only thing we can do...
