HP Omen 17-cb0080nr

Hello, I am considering buying an HP Omen 17 (17-cb0080nr, item model# 7FT30UA#ABA) .

Looking at the advertising specification, it lists the wireless as 802.11 b/g/n/ac @ Bluetooth 5.
However, when looking at the HP specification sheet (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06442824), it lists the wireless as Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 Combo.

Are these the same thing?  Does anyone know if there are different versions of the 17-cb0080nr with different WiFi adapters?  Does anyone have this model and can confirm one way or the other?

When going through the HP website and attempting to customize to the same specs, the top wireless option is the  802.11 b/g/n/ac @ Bluetooth 5.

Thank you for any information.

Hi:

The  Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 Combo is one of the newer wifi adapters on the market today.

It goes beyond the AC specs, but still can work as an AC card.

Here are the specs...

Thanks for the link, quite informative.  I had never heard of the ax until this afternoon.

Doing some further investigation on Amazon for a similar HP Omen (that actually has ratings and answered questions), there were several instances where someone was questioning the specs listed in the Amazon page and an HP Support member always referenced the spec sheet for the given model, so I will trust the spec sheet.

You're very welcome.

I would imagine with a good AC router, that card will achieve up to 1.7 GB's.

Looks like AX is the next generation Wifi standard.

Sounds like it is still in its infancy.
