Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e1000 (53G39AV)

My son has a Victus by HP Laptop 16-e1797nr. I want to upgrade the RAM and need help buying the right thing the first time. My research first lead me to: Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz (or 5200MHz or 4800MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K16G56C46S5 @ $97 (https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-5600MHz-5200MHz-4800MHz-CT2K16G56C46S5/dp/B0BLTDRRLF/)

And then I saw this:
Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MT/s CL40 Laptop Memory CT2K16G48C40S5 @ $80 (https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2x16GB-4800MHz-Laptop-CT2K16G48C40S5/dp/B09S2PNYTY/)

With his laptop, is the $80 kit just as good as the $97 one? Is there a 32G kit I should buy other than the ones I have found?

I thank you in advance for your help.
Scott

Either kit should work.

The difference is the first one supports 5600 MHz speeds and below.

The second one supports 4800 MHz speeds only.

Since the notebook's processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 4800 MHz there would be no advantage in buying the DDR5-5600 memory unless you planned to use it in a newer notebook in the future that can run the memory at the full 5600 MHz speed.

AMD Ryzen™ 7 6800H Mobile Processor | AMD

Crucial has the 4800 MHz kit for a couple of bucks less if the shipping is free...

Crucial 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5-4800 SODIMM | CT2K16G48C40S5 | Crucial.com

HP only has the service manual for the older model series, but it may be of help for opening up the notebook to replace the memory.
