Hi @Abdelrhman3

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand the issue. If the W, S, and Z keys work normally until you start playing a game, then begin lagging or stop responding, and only start working again after about 2 hours, the problem could be related to the keyboard driver, system performance, overheating, or a hardware issue. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Hard Reset

  • Shut down the notebook.
  • Disconnect the charger and any external devices.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and turn the notebook back on.

Update the Keyboard Driver

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Keyboards.
  • Right-click the Standard PS/2 Keyboard or HID Keyboard Device and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  • Restart the notebook after the update.
  • If the issue persists:
  • Right-click the keyboard device again.
  • Select Uninstall device.
  • Restart the notebook. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

Update BIOS and Drivers

  • Open the HP Support Assistant.
  • Click Updates.
  • Install any available updates for:
  • BIOS
  • Chipset
  • Keyboard
  • AMD Graphics
  • Restart the computer after all updates are installed.

Disable Filter Keys

  • Open Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
  • Ensure Filter Keys, Sticky Keys, and Toggle Keys are turned Off.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Turn off the notebook.
  • Turn it on and immediately tap Esc repeatedly.
  • Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run the Keyboard Test.
  • If available, also run the System Extensive Test.

Perform a Clean Boot

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  • On the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  • On the Startup tab, click Open Task Manager and disable all startup items.
  • Restart the notebook and test the game.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
