Hi @nambardarr

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

Here are a few troubleshooting steps

1. Battery Issue Troubleshooting:

The battery not providing adequate backup can be caused by several factors, such as settings, outdated drivers, or battery wear. Here’s how to troubleshoot:

Check Battery Health

  • Battery Report:
    1. Open Command Prompt (as Administrator).
    2. Type powercfg /batteryreport and hit Enter.
    3. Check the battery health in the generated report located in C:\Users\<YourName>\battery-report.html.
    4. If the report shows significant wear or a drop in capacity, the battery might need to be replaced.

Adjust Power Settings

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery.
  • Set your laptop to Power Saver mode to extend battery life.
  • Ensure Battery Saver is enabled when your battery percentage is low.

Update Battery Drivers

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Expand Batteries.
  3. Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Update Driver.
  4. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

Calibrate the Battery

  • Let the battery drain down to 5-10%, then charge it fully to 100% without interruptions.
  • Repeat this process to recalibrate the battery, ensuring more accurate power readings.

2. Fan Noise Troubleshooting:

Uneven fan noise can occur if there’s dust buildup or if the fan is working harder than usual.

Clean the Fans

  • Turn off the laptop and unplug it from the power source.
  • Use a can of compressed air to clean out the vents and fans. This will help improve airflow and reduce noise.

Check for Overheating

  • Download and install HWMonitor or CoreTemp to check your system's temperature.
  • If the temperatures are consistently high (above 85°C), the fan is working harder to cool down your system. In this case, ensure you're using your laptop on a flat, hard surface to allow airflow.

Update BIOS and Fan Drivers

  1. Visit the official HP support page for your model.
  2. Download and install the latest BIOS and fan drivers.
  3. Reboot your laptop to see if it helps resolve the issue.

Set Power Plan for Quiet Operation

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
  • Select the Balanced power plan or customize it to prioritize fan noise reduction.

Test Fan Noise in HP Support Assistant

  1. Open HP Support Assistant (if installed).
  2. Run HP Diagnostics to check for any hardware issues related to the fan.

Let me know if you need help with any step!
