@Sant_8a8a1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Screen flickering issues can be frustrating and can occur due to various reasons, including hardware or software problems. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and possibly fix the flickering issue on your HP OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop:

1. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this through the device manager or by visiting the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your graphics card model.

2. Check Display Settings

  • Make sure that your display settings are configured correctly. Sometimes incorrect resolution or refresh rate settings can cause screen flickering.
  • You mentioned the issue occurs at 144 Hz. You could try lower refresh rates to see if the flickering persists.

3. Perform a System Reset

  • Performing a reset on your laptop can sometimes resolve software-related issues. Make sure you back up your data before proceeding with a system reset.

4. Run Display Diagnostics

  • Use the built-in HP diagnostics to check for display issues. You can access these diagnostics by rebooting your laptop and pressing the appropriate F-key (typically F2 or F10) during boot.

5. Check for External Connections

  • If any HDMI or DisplayPort cables are connected, ensure they are firmly and correctly attached as loose or faulty cables can cause display problems.

6. Test the Display with Another Application

  • Open different applications to see if the flickering occurs only with certain software. Sometimes application-specific settings can cause flickering.

7. Inspect for Physical Damage

  • Inspect the screen and the hinges for any physical damage that might be causing the flickering
