I am having the problem on my HP Victus laptop in arch linux, that I have no control over brightness and its quite dim. I have researched and found that the problem persist on all distros on victus laptops. By default the directory in /sys/class/backlight is amdgpu_bl0 and brightness is quite low and can't be increased and is reversed 0 (highest) 255 (lowest).

The problem you have is that HP provides no support for Linux -- including no Linux drivers.
So if you can't find them through the support forum for your Linux distro, there is nothing you can do to fix this.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
