@NIKHIL9550, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your laptop camera isn’t working, especially after reinstalling Windows and updating drivers. Let’s walk through a few steps to help resolve this issue on your OMEN Laptop - 15-en0001ax.
Check Camera Privacy Settings
Windows 11 has privacy settings that can block camera access.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera
- Make sure Camera access is turned On
- Ensure Let apps access your camera is also On
- Scroll down and verify that the apps you want to use (e.g., Zoom, Teams) have access
Check if Camera is Disabled in Device Manager
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras
- Right-click your camera and choose Enable device (if available)
- If it’s already enabled, try Uninstall device, then restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
Check Camera Function Key (F10 or F6)
Some OMEN models have a physical camera kill switch or function key:
- Look for a key with a camera icon (usually F10 or F6)
- Press Fn + [Camera Key] to toggle the camera on/off
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
Let’s check if the camera is detected at the hardware level.
- Download and run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows
- Select Component Tests > Webcam Test
- Follow the on-screen instructions
If the test fails or the camera is not detected, it may be a hardware issue.
BIOS Settings
Sometimes the camera can be disabled in BIOS.
- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS
- Look for Advanced > Device Configuration or similar
- Ensure Integrated Camera is enabled
- Save and exit
HP Support Assistant
Use HP Support Assistant to check for any missing drivers or firmware updates.
- Download: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Open the app and run Check for updates
If none of the above steps work, the camera module may be faulty or disconnected internally. In that case, please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - India | HP® Support
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
