can I play sims 4 on my laptop without slowing it down or "ruining" it?

It helps to give us the FULL model number.  Best way is to do that is to post the Product ID number, then I know what hardware your model has specifically.

If you have a 7th or 8th gen Intel CPU with integrated UHD 620 graphics built in, you should be able to run Sims 4 on low settings. It certainly wont ruin your laptop.

TIP: Its always best to monitor your temperatures when gaming to know how hot the system is getting.
