i cant use hp cloud recovery tool to create a usb to recover my laptop to factory state 

 

i have done that before but now the tool mot allowed me 

 

when i go to search my product id on 

 

http://support.hp.cloud-recovery.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/

 

it gives this error

Something tells me that HP no longer supports a lot of older models that used to be supported, because that error pops up on hundreds of notebooks made between 2016 and 2018 where the cloud recovery tool used to work fine.

 

I speculate that HP is only offering the cloud recovery tool files for 5 years after the PC's release date.

 

Lately I have checked known product numbers that the cloud recovery tool used to work on, and they no longer work,

 

But if you enter a product number for a PC that was supported by the HP cloud recovery tool that was made in 2020, it works just fine.

 

For example, this model was made in 2020:

 

HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0047nr   product number 3F607UA#ABA

 

When you enter that product number in the HP cloud recovery tool website's search window, that PC is still supported.

I'll wager that in 2026, it will have the same problem yours has.

 

You will have to clean install W10 by making a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below:

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from the notebook's support page:
